Noor Taj ("we," "our," or "us") operates the TruePlot: GPS Map Area Measure mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our App.

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not access the App.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Location Data (Precise GPS)

When we request it: Location permission is requested when you initiate GPS walk-the-boundary measurement, not on app launch.

What we tell you: TruePlot needs your precise location to place you on the map and trace your boundary when you walk a plot. Your location is used only during active measurement and is never stored on our servers.

What happens if you decline: Walk Boundary mode is disabled. Tap-to-Pin mode remains fully available. A banner on the map screen reads: "Location access is off. You can still measure by tapping corners on the map."

How we use it: GPS location is used exclusively for:

• Placing your current position on the map
• Tracing your path during walk-the-boundary measurement
• Displaying GPS signal strength for measurement accuracy

Important: Your precise location data is processed in real time on your device and is never transmitted to our servers. Location data is only used during an active measurement session.

1.2 Photo Library Access

When we request it: Permission is requested only when you tap "Save as Image" for the first time.

What we tell you: TruePlot needs permission to save your measurement image to your photo library.

What happens if you decline: The "Save as Image" option is replaced with "Copy Image," which copies the measurement screenshot to your clipboard. A note reads: "Image saved to clipboard. Paste it into WhatsApp or any app to share."

1.3 Automatically Collected Information

We may collect certain anonymous information through third-party services to improve the App:

• Analytics Data: We use Firebase Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to collect anonymous usage statistics, including:
  • App opens and session duration
  • Feature usage patterns (e.g., tap-to-pin vs. walk mode usage)
  • Device type, operating system version, and screen resolution
  • General location data (country/region level only, not precise location)
  • Crash reports and performance diagnostics
• Microsoft Clarity: We use Clarity to understand how users interact with the App through session replays and heatmaps. Clarity may record:
  • Screen taps and gestures (anonymized)
  • Navigation patterns within the App
  • Scroll behavior and interaction timing
• Crash Reporting: We use Firebase Crashlytics to collect crash reports and diagnostic information to improve app stability.
• Remote Configuration: We use Firebase Remote Config to deliver app updates and feature toggles without requiring an app store update.

1.4 Information We Do NOT Collect

We explicitly do NOT collect:

• Your name, email address, phone number, or other personal identifiers
• Precise GPS coordinates or location history outside of active measurement sessions
• Plot boundaries, polygons, or area measurements you create
• Address search queries
• Map screenshots or exported PDFs
• Contacts, calendar, or other device data
• Photos or camera images

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide accurate GPS measurement functionality
• Improve app performance, stability, and user experience
• Identify and fix bugs and crashes
• Understand which features are most used to guide development
• Deliver app updates and feature improvements
• Ensure the App operates correctly across different devices and regions
• Analyze usage patterns to optimize the user interface

3. Data Storage and Security

3.1 Local Storage

All measurements, plot data, map thumbnails, and user preferences are stored locally on your device. We do not have access to this data, and it never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to export or share it.

3.2 Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Google Maps Platform & Google Places API: For map rendering, satellite imagery, and address autocomplete. Your use of Google Maps is subject to Google's Privacy Policy. When you search for an address, the search query is sent to Google Places API to provide results. No map data is stored by us.
• Firebase (Google): For analytics, crash reporting, and remote configuration.
• Microsoft Clarity: For anonymous session replays and heatmaps to improve user experience. Clarity ID: xi59njrbu3

3.3 Security Measures

We take reasonable and appropriate security measures to protect your information, including:

• All network communication with third-party services uses encrypted HTTPS connections
• Location data is processed in real time and not retained after measurement sessions
• No user accounts or authentication are required to use the App
• No personal data is stored on our servers

However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties.

We do not share your information except in the following limited circumstances:

• Service Providers: With trusted third-party service providers (Google Maps, Firebase, Clarity) who assist us in operating the App. These providers are contractually bound to protect your data.
• Legal Requirements: When required by law, court order, or governmental regulation.
• Protection of Rights: To protect our rights, property, or safety, or that of our users.
• Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (with notice to you).
• Your Consent: With your explicit consent for specific purposes.

5. Your Rights and Choices

5.1 Location Permission

You can enable or disable location access at any time through your device settings. When location is disabled, you can still use all tap-to-pin measurement features.

5.2 Photo Library Permission

You can enable or disable photo library access at any time through your device settings. When disabled, you can still copy measurement images to your clipboard.

5.3 Analytics Opt-Out

You can opt out of analytics tracking:

• iOS: Settings > Privacy > Analytics & Improvements > Disable "Share iPhone Analytics"
• Android: Settings > Google > Ads > Enable "Opt out of Ads Personalization"
• In-App: Future versions may include an in-app opt-out setting for analytics

5.4 Deleting Your Data

Since all measurement data is stored locally on your device:

• Delete individual measurements: Use the delete option in the History section of the App
• Delete all data: Uninstall the App from your device, or use the "Clear All Data" option in App Settings
• Data after uninstall: All locally stored data is permanently deleted when you uninstall the App

5.5 Access and Portability

Since all data is stored locally, you can access all your measurements directly within the App. You can export any measurement as a PDF or image file at any time.

6. Children's Privacy

The App is rated 4+ and is appropriate for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us, and we will take steps to delete such information.

7. International Data Transfers

Your information, including analytics data, may be transferred to and maintained on computers located outside of your state, province, country, or other governmental jurisdiction where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.

Specifically, we use Google Cloud Platform (Firebase) and Microsoft Azure (Clarity), which may process data in the United States and other countries. By using the App, you consent to the transfer of your information to these locations for processing in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

When we transfer personal data from the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, including Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.

8. Data Retention

• Local measurement data: Retained on your device until you choose to delete it or uninstall the App
• Analytics data: Retained for up to 90 days unless required by law to retain it longer
• Crash reports: Retained for up to 180 days for debugging purposes
• Clarity session data: Retained for up to 30 days

You may request deletion of any analytics data associated with your device by contacting us.

9. Third-Party Links and Services

The App integrates with Google Maps for map display and navigation. When you use these features, your use is governed by Google's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party services.

When you share a measurement via another app (e.g., WhatsApp, email), that app's privacy policy governs the data you share through it.

10. Advertising and Monetization

Current Version: The current version of TruePlot does not display advertisements and does not include in-app purchases or subscriptions.

Future Updates: If we introduce advertising, subscriptions, or in-app purchases in future versions, we will update this Privacy Policy to reflect how related data is collected and used. Any subscription payments would be processed by Apple (App Store) and Google (Google Play), and we would not have access to your payment information.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or for operational reasons. We will notify you of material changes by:

• Posting the updated Privacy Policy in the App
• Updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy
• Displaying an in-app notification for significant changes

You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.

12. GDPR Compliance (European Users)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, you have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

• Right to Access: Request access to the personal data we hold about you
• Right to Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
• Right to Erasure: Request deletion of your personal data ("right to be forgotten")
• Right to Restriction: Request restriction of processing of your data
• Right to Data Portability: Request a copy of your data in a structured, machine-readable format
• Right to Object: Object to processing of your data for analytics purposes
• Right to Withdraw Consent: Withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal
• Right to Lodge a Complaint: Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority

Legal Basis for Processing: Our legal basis for processing location data is your consent (obtained through the device permission prompt). Our legal basis for processing analytics data is our legitimate interest in improving the App.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the information below. We will respond to your request within 30 days.

13. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):

• Right to Know: Request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you
• Right to Delete: Request deletion of personal information we have collected about you
• Right to Opt-Out: Opt out of the sale of your personal information (Note: We do not sell personal information)
• Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights
• Right to Correct: Request correction of inaccurate personal information

Categories of Personal Information Collected in the past 12 months:

• Precise geolocation (only with your consent during active measurement sessions)
• Device information and usage data (automatically collected through analytics)

Categories of Personal Information Sold in the past 12 months: We have not sold any personal information.

14. App Store and Play Store Compliance

14.1 Apple App Store

This Privacy Policy complies with Apple's App Store Review Guidelines, including:

• Clear disclosure of what data is collected and how it is used
• Explanation of why location permission is needed and how it is used
• Option to use the App without granting location access (tap-to-pin mode)
• Age rating appropriate for all ages (4+)
• No collection of personal information from children

14.2 Google Play Store

This Privacy Policy complies with Google Play's Developer Program Policies, including:

• Complete and accurate disclosure of data collection and use
• Prominent privacy policy link on the Google Play Store listing
• Compliance with Google's Location Permissions policy (minimal use, clear disclosure)
• User control over location data with clear alternatives when declined
